In my younger days I used to sketch a lot, do a little modeling and other artistic projects. I took an oil
painting course while in college and after several paintings, I thought I was starting to get. But, like
everyone else, I had to get job and start supporting myself. I started out as a design draftsman
working 40 hours a week on a drafting board for an aerospace company. I’m not sure if this stifled or
satisfied my creative urges. Either way, I didn’t produce any artistic products for many years. When
personal computers and photo shop came along, this provided an new avenue for my creative spirit.
While a member of Tammany Yacht Club, I had many occasions to be creative once again.
